When successful Manager Lorenz picks up unemployed hitchhiker Hartmut in his Maserati, a turbulent and exciting trip through Germany begins: the two men have more in common than they'd like to believe. The ambitious Human Resources Manager of Berlin-based company Telpeak, Lorenz Hoffmann, takes 60-year old Hartmut Sprenger along to southern Germany, where he is headed for a business meeting. Lorenz has no idea who he has taken along for the ride: Hartmut, who used to be the highly esteemed head of marketing, was fired 5 years ago when his company was taken over by Telpeak.
