Alfonso Mejía

Alfonso Amador Mejía Silva (born 16 December 1934 In Mexico City, Mexico) is an actor, best known for his lead role in "Die Vergessenen" (known in the United States asThe Young and the Damned), for which he won the Best Child Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1951. Regisseur Luis Buñuel chose Mejía for the part. After a successful career in the 50er jahren, and 60s in Mexico, Mejia retired from the acting industry.
