Ana Cristina Barragán

Ana Cristina Barragan is an Ecuadorian filmmaker (1987). She made her first short film when she was only 20 years old. She has directed three short films: Wach/Awake (2008), Sonntag violett/Violet Sunday (2010), Anima/Spirit (2013). Awake was screened at several international film festivals. Sonntag, violett premiered at the Locarno festival. Alba (2016), her-feature film-debüt, won the Lions Films Award at Rotterdam, the Jury Mention at San Sebastian, and several other international awards.
