Dieser schwarz-weiß-Dokumentarfilm berichtet über die Sommerzeit einer Gruppe von jungen Menschen am Strand von Prerow an der Ostsee. Die jungen Lehrlinge und Studenten sind teilweise verliebt, voller Elan und unkompliziert, tragen Jeans und geben sich lässig. Die Musik der gezeigten Gitarrenspieler verbindet sie miteinander am Strand bei Gesang und Tanz in den Abendstunden. Die Kamera fängt die Jugendlichen gut ein, die Erzählungen vermitteln den bisherigen und zukünftigen Lebensweg der Jugendlichen, wobei Hoffnungen, Wünsche und Sorgen dabei erkennbar werden.
