Arunas Matelis' film ist ein anmutig ausdrucksstarke Dokumentation folgt die Leben der Kinder mit Leukämie an einer pädiatrischen Klinik in Vilnius, Litauen. Die Kinder treten in eine fremde Welt, ohne Farbe und Wärme, aber aufgefüllt mit freundlichen fremden. Gewöhnt an die routine des täglichen Medikation und Mahlzeiten, die abwechselnd Brei und Kohl-Suppe, die Kinder träumen von Leben außerhalb der Klinik dicken Zement-Wänden, während Ihre Eltern tragen die Last der Unsicherheit über Ihre Kinder Schicksal. Der Filmemacher verbrachte acht Monate in diesem Krankenhaus sehr nach seiner eigenen Tochter erfolgreich im Kampf gegen Leukämie.
