Concerts for the People of Kampuchea (1981) Kostenlos Anschauen

Organisiert von Paul McCartney und den Vereinten Nationen, waren diese Konzerte in Reaktion auf die 1975-79 Khmer-Rouge-Herrschaft, wo drei Millionen Menschen starben in Kambodscha. Während der Konzerte McCartney brachte drei Generationen von populären Musikern zusammen. Die ältere generation enthalten McCartney und die Wings, The Who und Mitglieder von Procol Harum. Die mittlere generation war vertreten durch die Königin und die Mitglieder von Led Zeppelin. Vor allem war da die neue generation vor allem Neue Zaudert und Punk-Rocker wie The Pretenders, Elvis Costello und Die Sehenswürdigkeiten, Ian Dury und den Blockheads, The Clash und The Specials.
