Dario Argento (geboren am 7. September 1940) ist ein italienischer Filmregisseur, Produzent, Filmkritiker und Drehbuchautor. Er ist am besten bekannt für seine Arbeit im horror-film-genre in den 1970er und 1980er Jahren, vor allem im subgenre bekannt als giallo, und für seinen Einfluss auf die moderne horror-Filme.
