Davi Pretto

Davi Pretto (Porto Alegre, 1988) directed two feature films, both of which premiered at Berlinale Forum. His debut CASTANHA (2014) competed in festivals such as Rio de Janeiro (Best Film New Trends), Bafici (Feisal Award Special Mention), Edinburgh, Hong Kong and Havana. RIFLE (2016) was screened in festivals such as Jeonju (Grand Prize), FID Marseille, Brasília (Critics Prize, Best Screenplay) and Cairo, among others. In 2018, he was invited to DAAD-Berlin Artists-in-Residence. In the same year, a backlog of his work was presented at Arsenal-Film-Institut in Berlin.
