Alles beginnt mit einer Kindheitserinnerung: Jener Tag, an dem der Vater des zukünftigen Filmemachers Sebastiano d'Ayala Valva ihn zwingt, eine bestimmte Musik zu hören, die ihn zunächst erschreckt; ein fernes Echo aus der Vergangenheit, das ihn auf die Spur seines geheimnisvollen Vorfahren bringt, des italienischen Komponisten Giacinto Scelsi (1905-1988), der behauptete, seine Musik sei direkt von den Göttern inspiriert.
