Aus europäischer Sicht liegt die Osterinsel am Ende der Welt. Für das Volk der Rapanui war das nur 24 Kilometer lange und 13 Kilometer breite Stück Land in der Weite des südöstlichen Pazifik dagegen ein eigener Kosmos.
