Da ist der hart arbeitende Sargzimmermann Yagub und sein behinderter Sohn Musa. Beide verbindet seit dem Tod der geliebten Frau und Mutter Feride eine Art Hassliebe. Für seinen erwachsenen und beschränkten Sohn hat der einsame Alte nur Schläge übrig, Feride hat für beide eine emotionale Lücke hinterlassen.
