E.1027 – Eileen Gray und das Haus am Meer (2024) Kostenlos Anschauen
Die irische Designerin Eileen Gray baut 1929 ein Refugium an der Côte d'Azur. Ihr erstes Haus ist ein diskretes, avantgardistisches Meisterwerk. Sie nennt es E.1027, eine kryptische Kombination aus ihren Initialen und denen von Jean Badovici, mit dem sie es gebaut hat. Als Le Corbusier das Haus entdeckt, ist er fasziniert und besessen. Später überzieht er die Wände mit Wandmalereien und veröffentlicht Fotos davon. Gray bezeichnet diese Malereien als Vandalismus und fordert ihre Rücknahme. Er ignoriert ihren Wunsch und baut stattdessen sein berühmtes Le Cabanon direkt hinter E.1027, das bis heute die Erzählung des Ortes dominiert. Eine Geschichte über die Macht des weiblichen Ausdrucks und den Wunsch der Männer, ihn zu kontrollieren.
