Fressen und gefressen werden. In dieser Welt geht es ums Überleben. Was ist die beste Strategie, seinen Fressfeinden zu entgehen, den nächsten Tag zu erleben, sich fortzupflanzen und somit die Art zu erhalten? Dieser ständige Kampf klingt grausam für uns, aber es besteht ein Gleichgewicht zwischen Jägern und Gejagten. In diesem (3D)-Abenteuer sehen wir Haien zu, die - obwohl immer auf der Suche nach dem nächsten Bissen - doch keine primitiven Fressmaschinen sind. Der riesige Napoleon taucht immer wider auf, er ist neugierig und friedlich. Und wenn er jagt, dann nach Schnecken und Krustentieren. Doch auch die silbern schillernden Makrelen sind allgegenwärtig. Sie jagen in Gruppen oder einzeln. Und dann wären da noch die Muränen... Spätestens dann, wenn sie mit weit aufgerissenem Maul auf uns zukommen, vergessen wir, dass dies alles ein Film und wir nur Zuschauer sind.
