At the station of Carcassonne, Diana, a pretty blonde meets Edouard, his friend whom she has not seen for a year. She was working on her thesis, devoted to the decline of socialism in Deutschland. Both go to a small mountain village where Edward used to spend his holidays as a child. It is there that they meet Gilbert, an old friend of Edouard' ' s mother, who leads a peaceful community life in the spirit of May 1968. Eduard tries to überredet her to stay and discovers that Gilbert might be his father.
