Der film ist Malte, der glaube der alten Serbischen Krieger Milisav Janjic, kämpften gegen die Deutsche Besatzung im Zweiten Weltkrieg als Mitglied des "Ravnogorski pokret". Die Handlung erzählt von seinen Erinnerungen an die Vergangenheit und die kriegerischen Ereignisse im Frühjahr 1941 verwoben mit der zeitgenössischen Momente, der Autor bietet dem Angriff des faschistischen Deutschlands, der April-Krieg und dem fall des Königreichs von Jugoslawien, die das Unglück setzte auf die serbische Bevölkerung, Verlust der Freiheit, der Geburt der Freiheit der Bewegung in Serbien und eine serbische Soldaten, die nach 70 Jahren Auslandsaufenthalt in Amerika zurück in seine Heimat.
