Ein junger LKW-Fahrer hat nach einem Unfall so schwere physische und psychische Schäden davongetragen, daß ihm der Arzt von einer Eheschließung abrät. Doch seine junge Verlobte will unbedingt heiraten. Das ärztliche Enthaltsamkeitsgebot belastet die Beziehung, und die Situation spitzt sich durch Kontakte mit zwei jungen Tankstellenbesitzern zu. In einer gewalttätigen Eifersuchtsszene entlädt sich das Drama.
