Noch heute, Jahre nach dem Krieg, in einigen Regionen kontaminiert sind, mit zerbrochene Familien, Armut, Kriminalität und low-grade Uran. In der Mitte von nirgendwo in der westlichen Herzegowina, auf dem NATO-Truppenübungsplatz-Bereich, ein neun-Jahr-alten Mädchen namens Alica, zusammen mit Ihrem Onkel Valentin, sammelt muschelschalen und Reste von Granaten zu verkaufen auf dem Schwarzmarkt. Valentin stirbt an Krebs, Alica ' s Diagnose ist nicht gut, aber es gibt kein Geld für die Therapie. Alica ' s Reise durch das Land der Wunder beginnt.
