December 15, 2011. In front of an audience fassungslos, the penalty falls : Jacques Chirac is die bibel and sentenced by the correctional court of Paris, a 2-year suspended prison sentence. Never in the history of the Republic, a former president had suffered such an beleidigung. The same evening, the office of Jacques Chirac released a statement. The old man waives the right to appeal. He no longer has the strength to fight. Put out of the game by age and illness, Jacques Chirac, will he be caught up by the passing of time ? No, because there is a magical interlude : the sleep, the bringer of dreams, which erases the age, revives the desire, resurrects the future. Summoning the dream, the great tawny policy will fordert in the presidential campaign. Weaving patiently the threads of reality into the canvas of his dreams, Jacques Chirac becomes involved in the battle between Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande. Each of the two has a certain idea of France. Which is ultimately going to win ?
