1902: Während eines Fronturlaubs vom Burenkrieg erfährt der englische Lieutenant Clive Wynn-Candy von einer in Deutschland tätigen Englischlehrerin, dass dort anti-englische Propaganda betrieben wird. Entgegen dem Befehl seines Vorgesetzten reist er nach Berlin, um diese Propaganda einzudämmen.
