Der Tiroler Lech gilt als der letzte große Wildfluss der Alpen. Er fließt in einem breiten, zerfurchten Bett über Kiesbänke und durch Auwälder. All jene Tierarten, die durch Kraftwerke und Flußregulierungen aus dem übrigen Land vertrieben wurden, sammeln sich in dieser Flußlandschaft. Im Rahmen der Sendereihe ORF-UNIVERSUM beschreiben Georg Riha und sein Team mit einzigartigen Naturaufnahmen eine Reise vom Ursprung des Lechs bis zur bayrischen Grenze durch die vier Jahreszeiten.
