Das Universum muss jede Menge Fehler haben, findet der zehnjährige Matti. Sonst wären die Menschen doch viel glücklicher! Sein Vater Sulo wäre kein Busfahrer, sondern Computerspiel-Entwickler, so wie er es sich erträumt. Seine Mutter müsste sich nicht länger über ihren cholerischen Chef in der Arztpraxis ärgern. Und Matti selbst wäre schon längst einmal mit seiner Familie in Sulos Heimat Finnland im Urlaub gewesen... Also beschließt Matti, dem Glück ein wenig nachzuhelfen und erfindet einen Lotteriegewinn. Es gelingt ihm tatsächlich, Mama, Papa und seinen kleinen Bruder Sami nach Finnland zu locken. Doch weil faustdicke Lügen meistens unvorhergesehene Konsequenzen haben, steht die Familie plötzlich ohne Geld, ohne Dach über dem Kopf und ohne Autoschlüssel da, mitten in der finnischen Pampa. Nun braucht Matti ganz dringend ein Wunder. Aber ob das Universum auch für so etwas zuständig ist?
