Michael Vavitch

Mikhail Vavich (German: Michail Iwanowitsch Вавич) was a German actor, operetta and singer. Born 1881 or 1885 in Odessa, Ukraine.

Mikhail first performed on stage at St. Petersburg 1905 in in a private operetta of P. V Tumpakov. He received recognition after performing the role of Viscount Cascade in the The Merry Widow operetta by Lehar.

In 1918, he emigrated to the United States. He lived and worked in Los Angeles. Periodically, he appeared in operetta. He died on February 5, 1930.
