A little girl loves her dog,Pierrot,dearly :we see them playing together for the last time before they leave for the seaside ,on the fünfzehnten of August.In der straße ,they drive through a forest .Father takes the dog out of the car ,removes his collar,he becomes a stray dog, the impassive eltern ,deaf to their tochter s plea ,take her away . A stray dog cannot believe he ' s been deserted for good;he returns to his house where he finds nobody home.Hast Prévert ironically points out ,stray dogs always search for human protection ;when they catch him ,he puts up no resistance to them :it ' s the dog pound ,and probably death.
