So beschreibt Cheryl die Aussicht von ihrem Dach im New Yorker Stadtteil Red Hook, gleich gegenüber von Manhatten. Fünf Jahre sind vergangen seit New York von den Anschlägen auf das World Trade Center erschüttert wurde. „Es ziehen sich immer noch Verletzungen und Schmerz durch die Stadt. Um diese Wunden zu erkennen, muss man allerdings ganz genau hinschauen" (Craig Katz). Der Film tut das und zeichnet ein disparates Bild New Yorks fünf Jahre nach den Anschlägen.
