Im Mittelpunkt von Nick Caves superbem DVD-Debüt steht ein Live-Mitschnitt aus Lyon in Frankreich. Am 9. Juni 2001 ließ er dort im Le Transbordeur ein stimmungsvolles, packendes Konzert auf Filmmaterial bannen. In tief dunkle Scheinwerferkegel der Lichtanlage getaucht, zelebriert der Australier hier sein Repertoire mit der Glaubwürdigkeit eines Überzeugungstäters, der sich auf einer Mission befindet. Die Bad Seeds stehen dem in nichts nach. Höchst konzentriert begleiten die langjährigen Weggefährten Mick Harvey (schon 1980 bei dem Band-Vorläufer Birthday Party mit von der Partie) und Blixa Bargeld (Einstürzende Neubauten) an den Gitarren, Keyboarder Conway Savage, Drummer Thomas Wydler, Bassmann Martyn Casey, Perkussionist/Organist Jim Sclavunos und Geiger Warren Ellis (Dirty Three) ihren "Chef" und inszenieren mit viel Leidenschaft einen atmosphärischen Sound zwischen Blues, Rock, Postpunk und Gospel.
