"Fragen Sie mich nicht, was ich damit meine, Fragen Sie mich, was ich gemacht habe" – inspiriert von diesem motto, in diesem Dokumentarfilm begleitet der amerikanische Komponist Alvin Lucier (*1931) auf Konzert-Reisen nach Den Haag (Niederlande) und Zug (Schweiz). Die Autoren laden Lucier, zu erklären und zu kommentieren sein schaffen – von seinen frühen live-Elektronik-performances (Musik für Solo-Performer, 1965, und Vogel und Person Dyning, 1975) bis zu der premiere seines ensemble-Stück Panorama 2 im Jahr 2011. Eine Lucier wichtigsten Werke, I Am Sitting in a Room (1969), ist eingeführt als ein Mittel der Strukturierung Gerät im film.
