Für die nächsten 39 Jahre, Korematsu-eine ordentliche Werftarbeiter -- kämpfte gegen die Executive Order 9066. Unter seiner unermüdlichen Suche nach bürgerlichen Rechte, die den ganzen Weg an den obersten Gerichtshof, er wurde schließlich ausgezeichnet mit dem Presidential Medal of Freedom im Jahr 1998.
