Nach Auftrag durch den 1936 Olympischen Komitees erstellen einen feature-film der Olympischen Spiele in Berlin, Riefenstahl Schuss ein Dokumentarfilm, der feiert den menschlichen Körper durch die Kombination der Poesie der Körper in Bewegung mit close-ups von Athleten, in der Hitze des Wettkampfes. Beinhaltet der marathon, Männer Tauchen und amerikanischen Leichtathletik-star Jesse Owens sprint-Rennen bei den Olympischen spielen 1936. Die Produktion tendiert zu verherrlichen, den Jungen männlichen Körper, und, wie einige sagen, ist Ausdruck der Nazi-Haltung gegenüber sportlichen Fähigkeiten. Enthält die Beleuchtung von der Fackel im Stadion und Adolf Hitler suchen in Erstaunen, als Jesse Owens gewinnt eine beispiellose vier Gold-Medaillen.
