Vor Hunderten von Jahren wurden der Cameran-Palast und seine Bewohner durch ein edles Opfer von Sir Aaron, einem Aura-Ritter, gerettet. Seit jenem Tag ehren die Menschen seine Taten mit einem alljährlichen Fest. Ash interessiert sich nur für den dort veranstalteten Pokémon-Wettbewerb! Aber als er siegt und gebeten wird, die zeremonielle Rolle des Aurawächters zu übernehmen, wird die Bedeutung von Aaron offensichtlich – vor allem, als Lucario aus Aarons Stab herauskommt! Dieses lang verschollene Pokémon sieht Aaron jedoch keinesfalls als Held, denn Lucario erinnert sich nur daran, dass es einst von diesem Menschen betrogen wurde! Nach all dieser Zeit ohne Kampf wird es aufgefordert, ein Held zu sein. Denn Mew ist aufgetaucht und hat Pikachu und Mauzi zum Baum des Lebens entführt und nur Lucario kennt den Weg dorthin! Kann Lucario sein Misstrauen gegenüber den Menschen ablegen, um Ash und seinen besten Freund wieder zu vereinen?
