Prince geht in der Sahelzone in dieser bunten Hommage an Purple Rain. In einer lila robe und passende chopper, Rauchen heiße-Gitarrist Mdou Moctar kommt in einer Musik-mad Niger Stadt und legt über das anwerben einer lokalen Schönheit, kollidierende mit seinem frommen Vater, und das Fechten mit dem eifersüchtigen König der lokalen Szene (Kader Tanoutanoute, wie wily und gepflegt, wie Morris Day) bis zu Ihrem Höhepunkt six-string-shootout.
