Edgar Froese, band-leader von Tangerine Dream und Pionier der elektronischen Musik, ist auf eine lebenslange mission zu finden, die den ultimativen sound. Der film zeigt bisher unveröffentlichte Aufnahmen von der band-leader selbst: Zum ersten mal sehen wir die band backstage, auf tour in Europa und den USA, bei Fotoshootings mit Jim Rakete oder im Urlaub. Aufzeichnungen und interviews mit seiner Frau Bianca Froese-Acquaye, mit band-Mitgliedern, engen Mitarbeiter und Kollegen, den Künstlern Karte die einzigartige Geschichte von Tangerine Dream: eine Hommage an den Musiker Edgar Froese und die ära der elektronischen Musik.
