Ricardo Larraín

Ricardo Larraín was a Chilean film editor und direktor. His 1991 film: "The Frontier" won the Silver Bear for an outstanding single achievement at the 42nd Berlin International Film Festival.

In addition to producing and directing several films and documentaries, he served as executive producer on the TV-series "Haut-zimt", and as director and editor of the miniserie "Heroes" and produced more than eight hundred commercials for Chilean and foreign markets. In 2001 habe ich oversaw the drama department of the academic TV channel "Körperschaft des Tv an der Katholischen Universität" and worked as a teacher at a journalism school. In 2004 habe founded the Chilean Director and Screenwriter association and in 2006 he founded the film department und jetzt ... in s biggest university.

Larraín died in March 2016 from cancer. He was 58.
