Sie unternahm eine Wanderung von Fort Dufferin, südlich von Winnipeg, Fort Whoop-up, nahe dem heutigen Lethbridge, Alberta. Die Kraft hob die fahne und verkündete die Königin Recht, sicherzustellen, dass die Kanadischen Westen würde nicht zu einer gesetzlosen American-style-Grenze.
