Die energiegeladene Sita ist 25 Jahre alt, Österreicherin mit rumänischen Wurzeln und führt ein leicht chaotisches Leben in Berlin. Hier studiert sie Germanistik und arbeitet nebenbei für einen Fernsehsender, für den sie Interviews mit Kandidaten einer Castingshow dreht. Als ihr Großvater 95 Jahre alt wird, fährt sie zu seiner Geburtstagsfeier nach Wien. Während ihres Besuchs findet sie ein Foto von ihm in SS-Uniform und ist geschockt. Sie beginnt eine Reise in die Vergangenheit ihrer Familie und begibt sich auf die Suche nach der Wahrheit, die ihr jahrelang verheimlicht wurde.
