Am Anfang, Mein Erster Dokumentarfilm war gedacht, um ein Porträt des Präsidenten des Karneval-club in meinem Heimatdorf. Während der Dreharbeiten ging es sehr schnell klar, dass mein protagonist eine Maske zu tragen, nicht nur an Karneval. Er lebt ein Doppelleben. Ich allmählich realisiert, dass diese film-Projekt hat viele Gemeinsamkeiten mit meiner eigenen Geschichte zu. Ich entdeckte parallelen zwischen der Geschichte des Karnevals-Präsidenten und mir. Die ursprünglich geplante, geradlinig, Porträt, verwandelte sich in einen Aufsatz über die Heimat im Allgemeinen und ethische Lektion im Filmemachen. Der Direktor wurde die Hauptfigur und die Hauptfigur, ein Regisseur.
