Ende des 21. Jahrhunderts haben die Toten ihre Gräber verlassen und fast die gesamte Menschheit ausgerottet. Kevin, Mike, Johanna, sowie der alkoholkranke Eddie haben die Flucht ergriffen und befinden sich auf dem Weg zu Johannas Eltern, in der Hoffnung, dass diese noch leben. Dort angekommen müssen sie feststellen, dass alles verwüstet und menschenleer ist. Dafür wimmelt es von Zombies. Sie entkommen nur knapp. Kurze Zeit später entdecken sie ein verlassenes Haus und beschließen zu bleibne. Es dauert nicht lange, da bekommen sie Besuch. Martin taucht mit seiner Schwester Andrea auf.
