Eines Nachts stellt eine Gruppe von Arbeitern fest, dass die Verwaltung Maschinen und Rohstoffe aus ihrer eigenen Fabrik stiehlt. Als sie sich organisieren, um die Maschinen zu beaufsichtigen und die Verlagerung der Produktion zu verhindern, werden sie als Vergeltung gezwungen, auf ihren Posten zu bleiben, ohne zu arbeiten, während Verhandlungen über allgemeine Entlassungen geführt werden. Der Druck führt zu einem Zusammenbruch der Arbeiter und der Welt um sie herum.
