Die Traurige & Schöne Welt von Sparklehorse ist ein film über Mark Linkous, singer-songwriter und Gründer der alternative-rock-band Sparklehorse. Kult und enorm einflussreiche Figur in der alternativen Musik-Szene, der von der Kritik gefeierten Linkous hatte ein Dramatisches Leben, die ihn den Kampf mit Drogen-und Alkoholsucht, Lähmungen und schweren Depressionen, führte zu seiner eventuellen Selbstmord. Mark ' s Musik wurde eingeläutet von seinen Kollegen und Kritikern; eine Mischung aus zartem pop, misstönend punk und melodic-Odyssee; es wurde beschrieben, wie trotzig Surrealisten mit allerlei Referenzen zu lächeln Babys, Orgel Musik, Vögel, und Himmelskörper. Der film Minen Markiert das Leben und die Musik und navigiert die Opfer und die Höhen und tiefen seiner Kunst.
