Amateur Radio station W6RO erfreut sich seit über 29 Jahren Dauerbetrieb an Bord der Queen Mary. Fast 100 Funkamateure freiwillig jeden Monat zu bedienen vom Bahnhof entfernt. Da radio war wieder auf dem Schiff, W6RO vorgelegt hat, ein positives Bild von der Amateur-Radio-Service, um mehr als vier Millionen Besucher. Dauerhaft angedockt im Hafen von Long Beach, die Queen Mary ist eines der beliebtesten touristischen Attraktionen im Südlichen Kalifornien. W6RO ist eine reguläre Haltestelle für die Besucher auf der self-guided-tour, und besuchen Funkamateure können sich anmelden und bekommen in der Luft. Das ehemalige Passagierschiff ist auf dem Nationalen Register von Historischen Orten.
