Chile, 11. September 1973: Der Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres Augusto Pinochet stürzt die Regierung der Unidad Popular. Präsident Salvador Allende kommt beim Sturm des Militärs auf das Regierungsgebäude »La Moneda« unter ungeklärten Umständen ums Leben. Heynowski und Scheumann porträtieren das Land vor und nach diesem historischen Ereignis. Dabei arbeiten sie Verwicklungen US-amerikanischer Firmen heraus, die durch Verstaatlichungen in Chile entmachtet wurden.
