Bukarest 1989 - die letzten Jahre der Ceausescu-Diktatur. Eva lebt mit Ihren Eltern und Ihrer 7-jährigen Bruder Lalalilu. Ein Tag in der Schule, Eva und Ihr Freund versehentlich brechen eine Büste von Ceausescu. Sie sind gezwungen, zu bekennen Ihre Verbrechen vor eine Disziplinarkommission und Eva wird von der Schule verwiesen und in eine Besserungsanstalt, Gründung. Dort trifft Sie Andrej, und beschließt zu fliehen Rumänien mit ihm. Lalalilu zu der überzeugung, dass Ceausescu ist der wichtigste Grund für Evas Entscheidung zu verlassen. So mit seinen Freunden aus der Schule, die er entwirft einen plan zu töten den Diktator.
