Eigentlich hat die kleine Vilja ja nichts gegen große Ferien, doch mit ihren spießigen Eltern und der nervigen Schwester zur Großmutter zu reisen, entspricht so gar nicht ihrer Vorstellung von Vergnügen. Da trifft es sich gut, als der Wagen im Wald von einer im Familienverbund operierenden Räuberbande gestoppt und ausgeplündert wird. Unter der Beute befindet sich zufällig auch Vilja, und nach einer anfänglichen Phase des Zögerns gefällt es dieser, sich den bei näherer Betrachtung ganz freundlichen Räubern anzuschließen...
