Dreißig-Jahr-alten Emmett LeClere, ein ehemaliger logger und erholt Drogenabhängiger, kehrt von der Schule in New York einen film zu machen, in seiner Olympischen Halbinsel Heimatstadt. Das Projekt zu finanzieren, beschließt er, die Marihuana wachsen mit einem alten Kumpel. Nach einer abgekürzten Affäre mit einer ex-Freundin endet in einem Drogen-binge, Emmett findet ein vielversprechender, aber verdammt, neue Romantik.
