Why Are the Bells Ringing, Mitica? (1981) Kostenlos Anschauen
Basierend auf dem text eines Theaterstücks von Rumänischen Schriftstellers Ion Luca Caragiale (1852-1912), der war bitter und komisch Zeuge der turn-of-the-20th-Jahrhundert Rumänischen bürgerlichen Sitten, Karneval-Szenen gelingt, zu bewahren und weiter auszubauen, die leicht hysterische Atmosphäre seiner Stücke. Pintilie schafft eine seltsame Kombination von Karneval-Szenen gebracht auf dem Bildschirm als eine Burleske, rasante screwball-Komödie mit einem nachdenklichen Unterton. Dieser film wurde verboten in Rumänien für ein Jahrzehnt, bis der Tod von Ceausescu im Jahr 1989 und wurde erst freigegeben, nachdem die revolution von 1989.
