Basierend auf einer Kurzgeschichte, geschrieben von Shuhei Fujisawa (wer schrieb auch Twilight Samurai, The Hidden Blade, Love and Honor), der film schildert das unruhige Leben des Noe Isomura (Rena Tanaka) mit der schwierigen Familie, Sie hat geheiratet in, nachdem Ihr Ex-Mann verstarb. Eines Tages, als Sie versucht, die Bremse von einem Zweig von einem Kirschbaum, Sie wird unterstützt durch ein samurai, wer Sie nicht erkennt, doch, wer Sie erkennt. Er entpuppt sich als ein ehemaliger Verehrer, die Sie nie getroffen namens Yaichiro Tezuka (Higashiyama Noriyuki) und die Schwertkunst lehrt den lokalen samurai. Mittlerweile, die leistungsstarke neue chief Halterung des Dorfes land erlässt Richtlinien, bedrohen das überleben der Bauern.
