Sicilia, späten '60er Jahre. Zwei Männer sind getötet während einer Jagd-party. Die hastige Untersuchung zeigt, dass es war eine Tötung, für "Ehre" Gründen. Paolo Laurana ist ein Linker professor nicht überzeugt von der offiziellen Wahrheit und beginnt die Untersuchung selbst. Findet er etwas Hilfe von einem Anwalt, Herr Rosello. Während der Untersuchung, ist er fasziniert von Luisa, die Witwe eines der Opfer. Aber die Realität ist sehr Verschieden von dem, was Laurana sich vorstellen konnte. Wirklichkeit umfasst nicht nur die mafia und korrupte Politiker, aber auch kirchlichen verbindungen. Die Realität ist, dass es konnte nur ein Ende für das, Laurana. Es wird nicht lange dauern.
